The Core Values that Drive SSI

Like our agribusiness customers, we produce and sell a quality product; it takes the right team to make that happen. As all good business managers know, what makes a company succeed is the team that believes in and honors its values daily, and we think our team here at SSI embodies this perfectly.
SSI embraces four Core Values: Family, Trust, Team, and Serve. “Our Core Values are the heart of who we are. They shape our identity, guide our decisions, and inspire every interaction. From how we support one another internally to how we show up for our customers daily, these values reflect our shared purpose and unwavering commitment to excellence and care in all we do,” says Lori Potter, VP of Sales and Marketing.
One of the most revealing questions from the SSI staff satisfaction survey is: "What are some things we’re doing well here?" We're proud of the exceptional team we've built, and their feedback reflects that we have the right people in the right roles. Our staff are highly skilled professionals eager to keep learning and improving to serve our customers better. Here’s a look at more responses from SSI employees to this question:
I love working for SSI, this is the first job I've ever had that I don't dread Mondays. I can come to work and know that I have the tools I need to do my job, and the support of my managers and co-workers to help me. My direct supervisors are wonderful human beings. They care about their employees, they are supportive and truly care about us, inside and out of work.
A true family culture that cares about my personal family as well as my work family. A lot of places just say they have it. SSI embodies it.
Wellness activities, guaranteed annual job reviews with pay raises, profit sharing, open communication with managers, HR, and other staff members. The Monthly Huddles are a nice touch that are transparent with our company goals, financials, and what is coming down the pike.
I feel we live out our core values. We use these in our hiring process, which helps us to get good candidates. We care about our employees and our customers.
I really enjoy the people I work with. I'm encouraged to grow, given feedback on progress, and I genuinely feel like my teammates value each other and encourage each other to grow and improve.
People here are genuinely helpful, and I love the lack of big egos. Many product companies have teams that are a bit competitive with each other, but here it actually does feel like we're all working towards the same goal, and people from other teams are happy to help when you need something they know about.
We are focused on bringing good, quality products to our customers and we are invested in seeing them succeed. We have a strong sense of family/community. I've worked at a lot of places in my career and SSI has the best culture of any place I have worked.
